COMPLAINTS
What counts
Any concern that FullDiary collected, stored, used or shared your personal or health information wrongly, or did not let you see or correct it.
How to make one
Email [email protected] with “Complaint” in the subject. Say what happened, roughly when, and how to reach you. It goes to FullDiary’s privacy officer, the person responsible for dealing with complaints.
What happens next
- We acknowledge it in writing within 5 working days of receiving it, unless it is resolved to your satisfaction sooner.
- With that acknowledgement we tell you how our process works and where else you can complain.
- Within 10 working days of acknowledging it, we decide whether we accept that the complaint is justified. If we need longer to look into it, we work out how much longer; if that is more than 20 working days, we tell you, and why.
- We keep a written record of the complaint and of what we did about it.
What we will tell you
Once we have decided, and as soon as we can: our reasons, what we propose to do, and your right to take it to the privacy regulator named below.
If you are not satisfied
You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand. It expects you to have raised it with us first.
Complaints about your care
FullDiary answers the phone and books appointments for your clinic. The clinic is your health-care provider, so a complaint about your care or treatment goes to the clinic, and in New Zealand you can also take it to the Health and Disability Commissioner.
